ANDREW BLAKEMORE - Afterglow
3 Views • Nov 07, 2014
Description
Those dark and distant hills,
A halo of its afterglow
Does light the evening skies,
A golden crown before me now
And over land adorned,
That shines throughout its Kingdom far
Before the moon does rise.
As stillness of the dusk now brings
A hush upon the air,
A sense of peace that shall prevail
Throughout the coming night,
For there the silken clouds do shine
In scarlet as they pass,
They float upon the gentle breeze
And catch the fading light.
Horizon burns with passion now
Yet soon the fire will fade,
And then shall yield to darkness when
The moon and stars appear,
The sun begins its journey far
And bids a sad farewell,
For now the evening fades away
And night shall soon be here.
