Blank page before me I've no inspiration,
Words come and go but mean nothing at all,
So why waste my time as I stare from my window,
In thought as I'm waiting for someone to call.

Blank page before me no one to converse with,
Words have no meaning when spoken alone,
So why waste my time when it all seems so pointless,
I think of the pleasure and beauty I've known.

Blank page before me now stained by my teardrops,
Words I can't write when my ink has run dry,
So why waste my time when it brings only heartache,
Away on the wind now my dreams blowing by.

Blank page before me I'm lost without reason,
Words can't describe all the sadness I feel,
So why waste my time all I need is some comfort,
But nobody cares that my pain is so real.
