ana lou - silent yuletide

daisies fail to open its lashes
as long nights are cold in the air.
trees are resting in peace
as white rain comes.

the long days are over;
night grows fast and slow
the freezing breeze whispers low
and stars at night only aglow

the white land sleeps,
while yonder the sky watches
as the very bright of all stars shine
at the eve of this very Yuletide.
