If I will my will to prevail,
I'd be lost. For I know that nature
Won't take its course. I know that
Things fade and people come
And go as life goes by.
But if fate would notice and hear my cry
I would greatly be merry
That somehow she has heard my plea.
And that is to be with you only.

If I will my will to prevail,
I'd be lost. For I am my worst enemy.
My dark desires prevails with my purest.
I wonder why to know that I am like this.
But isn't this part of human nature, eh?
Can I be good and bad myself the same time?
However, my sincerest prayer to the One above
Is the peace to clear my doubts away
About my mean self.

If I will my will to prevail,
I'd be loose. Tight grip to things so they
Can't get away causes them to break.
And in the end all I get is grief not safekeeping.
Then ask myself the 'what ifs' that leaves me bleak.
Afraid, yes, afraid I am. And in cowardice
You can cast me a crown. Hence, my only
Favor is that you'll give me cane
To lean myself when I stop to rest.
