I desire only to make you smile
because only you can warm my heart
on even the coldest hour
and only your kiss could
make wildflowers grow
in a snowstorm.

I long to swim with you in a sea
of cotton sheets
and to wake up each morning
to the sound of you breathing -
steady, slumbering, hushed.

I wish to fall
into your arms after a long, trying day
and to stare into your emerald ocean eyes
until I am lost in you.

I desire only for your affection,
constant and undying,
until we are one day
forced to part -
hand in hand.
Two hearts.
One being.
One breath.
