Description

Sometimes I smile, think of the meaningful people
And moments in my life.
How much there is to live for.
The beauty, the pristine, the mysterious,
The charm, the purpose, the majesty
Of it all.

Sometimes I worry, think of the cruelty of mankind,
The callous underbelly.
How much there is to die for.
The inequality, the suffering, the hatred,
The dirt, the ignorance, the manipulation
Of it all.

Sometimes I love, give away my heart,
Trust completely.
I have faith that I find that special someone.
Who understands and cares, and allows me
To understand who they are, and care for them.
Always.

Sometimes I hate, rebel against the world,
Fight back when done wrong.
I lose my cool, abandon all composure.
Hold a grudge and not let go, become the aggressor.
Show anger and go on the offensive to avoid further pain.
Wisdom will come.

Sometimes I write, conjure up the inspiration
I feel lies inside.
Attempt to be honest, introspective and creative.
Try to manifest the confusing mixture of emotions,
Turmoil and passion I live with, and merely hint at the sources
Of them all.

Sometimes I learn, take things on board
Become a better man.
Recognise my flaws and vow to correct them,
Affect more people with the positive sides of my character
Rather than the negative. Never look back.
Progress.
