In this review, I break down the specs, design, and performance, plus give a little background on how we got here — from ASUS’s first ROG Ally to Microsoft stepping in and making this a true Xbox experience on the go.

We’ll test it across big titles like Doom: The Dark Ages, Gears Reloaded, Street fighter 6 and Forza Horizon 5, see how it handles Xbox games as well as games from other connected game stores. , and find out if this is the best handheld gaming device of 2025.
