Fire in a dry field

He was shy, but yet she was bold
He was unwanted, yet she was always followed
Like metal to a magnet

Neither of them thought that
Their future would intertwine
But fate had an alternate plan for them

They soon found each other
Their love for each other grew
Their passion for each other rose

Each from different classes
Each longing for someone to love
Each completing the other

No one thought it would last
But they sit in their rocking chairs 50 years later
Looking back and smiling
