The appearance of the German national team at the World Cup in South Africa is star-crossed. The problem is not the German football team, but their main sponsor: Mercedes Benz. The German company supported Apartheid in South Africa supplying, for example, the police and military vehicles and machinery with which to quash protests.
To this day, Daimler refuses to compensate the victims of Apartheid violence. Thousands of people have come together within the Khulumani Support Group to fight for compensation. They have brought a law suit against Daimler and other companies before a court in the United States.
On June 13, the day of the first match by the German team, Football Flash Mobs should try to build pressure on Daimler to finally meet their responsibilities. Daimler have to pay their debts!
