In his creative process, the artist Boris Kouadoua mainly uses recycled cardboard paper as a medium. His technique involves embedding handcrafted nets onto pre-prepared cardboard. Echoing the style of old photographic cards, he uses cardboard paper for its striking contrast between black and white.
Similar to old postcards, often printed on cardboard, the artist merges acrylic and scratching techniques to create visual effects reminiscent of bygone eras. In his works, Boris Kouadoua explores the contrasts between background and form, establishing a subtle tension between the apparent lightness of the scenes and the gravity of the themes he addresses.
