With the recent update on WordPress 4.7.3 many bloggers lost control to their dashboard and when they got access to their dashboard they lost their access to layout settings and due to which the sidebar started appearing left side and no sidebar on the right-hand side.

So I have explained in detail in this video how to update your Genesis Framework with theme update in simple and easy methods.

How to find wordpress version?

You can find WordPress installed version on the lower right-hand corner.

Go to the source of the website (press ctrl+u)search generator which should show the installed version.

The issue started after installing WordPress 4.7.3 where sidebar default came to the right-hand side and no access to the layout.

So what is the solution?

Download Genesis Framework version 2.4.2, here you cannot upload if you have already done before instead you will option to update older version with new that is 2.4.2

You can download it from my.studiopress.com it is a zip file of 400KB on disk. Remember this is for first time upload and WordPress won't allow for a second time rather than you can update it.

So after successful completion, your WordPress layout is set and you will get complete control on your menus and sidebar, you can choose your child theme to be installed on WordPress.

I would suggest that for your next WordPress version check on forums on issues if any that is faced by users so that you can wait for the fix for them rather than suffer from no access to the dashboard.
