a very cold winter with not much snow has resulted in lake superior freezing with a very smooth sheet of ice. Going out miles, shipping is closed this time of year so nothing can disturb the great ice of this enormous lake, on this day in 2007 hundreds of people from the duluth, minn area came out to play, skate, fish, walk, and pay respect to this massive once every decade event!
