Lord Jesus, send Your Holy Sprit
into this dusky desert of my mind,
in which, whatever trees are left
are shaped like question marks...

Please, let Your mercy shower on
my dying trees of faith and happiness,
transforming these sad symbols into signs
of hope, renewal, strength and healing.

Teach me to think and speak perceptively,
not just to mend my own fragmented self,
but other wounded hearts as well,
as You on earth exemplified.
Amen.
