Why Should I make a will

While some might be unsure of the merits of writing a will because they do not have much cash or many possessions, writing a will is important if you care about who inherits your property when you are no longer of this world. Most people are modest about their wealth so, there is a tendency to understate how much one has.
Most importantly though, a will is a set of instructions to the courts outlining how you would want your possessions to be distributed. I could reduce the amount of inheritance tax that you had to pay, and it would keep your wealth in the hands of those you want ensuring that your loved ones get the maximum of the inheritance due to them with a minimum of fuss, expense, family argument and interference from outsiders including the tax man.
