A global edition spinoff of the widely popular We Got Married (WGM), get to see how the on-screen virtual marriage between idol celebrities from different countries work out through weekly missions and candid interviews. Couples are paired from Korea, Japan and Taiwan. In WGM Global season 1, Emma (better known as Gui Gui) was paired up with Ok Taecyeon (Taecyeon) from the Korean top idol group "2pm". The producer (and his team) of WGM claims their huge efforts on looking for a suitable candidate among the Asian idols for this program. After considering the personal preferences of Taecyeon, they have finally offer the cast to Emma with greatest pleasure. Their couple was then known as TaecGui couple and remain popular even after the end of the program.
