WCC Mexican Gray Wolf 1 Enclosure

Mexican Gray wolf F837 and her 3 sisters came to the WCC in 2004. In 2005 her sister, F838 was chosen for release in the Southwest; sister #2, F836 was released in 2007. But the story doesn't have a happy ending: Both were shot illegally within months of release, denying them the opportunity to contribute to the recovery of their species. F837 and her mate, M805 are definitely bonded and this is the first opportunity for both these wolves to breed. M805's brother, M806 was released in 20xx – and currently reigns as the alpha male of the Bluestem Pack – so let's hope breeding is in the genes!
