Waymo is an 'Autonomous Driving Development Company' owned by Alphabet.Inc, the parent company of Google. Waymo started as Google's Self-Driving Car Project in 2009 and has evolved from getting its first modified vehicle's license from the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles to having a ride-hailing service in Phoenix, Arizona known as 'Waymo One'.
