a drug
a gambler
a alcoholic
i am an addict

lonely
messed up
out of work
homeless
divorced
but most of all
i am an addict

I beg for help
please free
my mind
my body
my soul
so please help me because
i am an addict

I walk alone
my place in the world long gone
i might as well be dead
why you say
well because
i am an addict

But maybe
when i see the sunshine
i hear the birds sing
i can be whole again
but dont get me wrong i know who i am
and i am an addict
and always will be
