Monsters in the closet
underneath the bed
when your a child
your nights are full of dread.

Mommys always there
in the middle of the night
telling you there is no reason, for the crying and the fright

Becoming a teenager
monsters no longer a concern
hanging with your freinds
the monsters had there turn

Adults we become and the monsters we find out are real
they work and live beside us
so human, so real

We protect our childern from the awfull truth
that the monsters we protected them from, are me and you.
