After reading Defining Place written by Tim Cresswell, Rebecca Slee en Yeltsiny Stroop were fascinated by the phenomena of space and place. They conclude: humans change a space into a place with their memories. They made the video installation one space, six places about this phenomena of space and place. They have worked with the invisible layer of a space; the memories.

When you walk into a space, you hardly ever know what happens before or after your visit. This installation is made with the same concept. The installation one space, six places has no beginning, middle or end. When you walk into this installation, you are experiencing a moment in time in a specific space. When you decide to leave this installation you will only have a memory of that moment and a new place that is added to your already existing places in your mind.
