Peace must begin and reign in our heart
And be ingrained for ever as part
Of our blood that runs and animates our brain
To act for noble deeds again and again

Peace must shine like the winter sun
In every home to dispel the clouds around
For work, worship and prosperity to abound
Peace must flow through everyone

All human virtues spring from peace
To light every home in darkness and gloom
And help the tender buds to bloom
And waft their fragrance to every piece

Peace breeds amity, brotherhood and love
Among nations that prosper high above
Warring countries, that in perpetual fight
Fritter away their wealth and might

Peace is abstract and like the tide less sea
Can’t be possessed for a fee
To percolate through the tangled mind
To rein the thoughts like a steed from behind
