Description
Our life here begins like any other brood
Drawing its food from its mother’s blood
To the day it hatches out for its roam to its tomb
Then it gets glued to its mother’s breast
Day in and day out sucking without rest
To its mother, but itself sleeping and waking
And when hungry, shrieking.
The toddler, be it girl or boy
Is always attached to its tiny toy
And playthings and anything sweet
You snatch it from him and face its tantrum heat
The adult adores his goddess of love
For her carnal bliss on him to bestow
To get tied to his chosen mate
For life with no limit or date.
Unrestrained we go on a possession spree
An indulgence branching out like a growing tree
In one’s wife, children, home and wealth
A non- stop saga that ends with death.
Amidst this earthly race to cloy
With food, play, work and joy,
Riches and all, we forget the one
Who showers these bounties, the Almighty One
