A living being you are no more
Washed up upon an ocean shore

Present shape unwittingly chosen
Branches in time forever frozen

A lonely statue on a sandy beach
Waves clawing just out of reach

Bleached pale by the blistering sun
Wind dancing past just for fun

At night you great the pale moon
Knowing the morning will be coming soon

Grains of sand now cover limbs
The light for them now slowly dims

Covered completely but at what cost
Buried forever and to eternity lost
