Varghese J Kuttikat - Limits
9 Views • Jun 18, 2014
Description
Has been a pet theme
Celebrated by mortal celebrities
Particularly in bygone centuries
Those romances set alive
In Indian, Greek, Roman and in all other ancient poesy
Have been so intoxicating that
Throughout the entire sweep and scope
Of time, geniuses invent and reinvent
Spicy stories of the human drama
Some fulfilled, others, slipping into blood and mire
If love is folly, O, God why did you design Eve out of Adams rib?
Did Thou mean to tear their hearts out for sharing the apple sweet?
Perhaps, Thou set limits that we can dream of the illimitable
Yes, we can venture beyond limits at least in our fancies
Though the lover's flute will one day be mute
The finite melody will have been merged with the infinite.
