What actually is Auto CAD?
The Auto CAD stands for “Automatic Computer Aided Design”. The Auto CAD is a 2 Dimensional and 3 Dimensional computer-driven drafting software application. It is widely used in construction, designing, architecture, and manufacturing to for the creation of blueprints and other engineering plans. It is manufactured commercially by the Auto Desk Company and is also employed to draft software applications. The workers which use Auto CAD are called drafters. According to a General Electric survey, 60 percent of product errors were associated to incomplete and unclear drafts problems which were fixed with the help of software like AutoCAD.

The Auto Cad is available in many languages which include French, Italian, English, Korean, Spanish, German and few more other languages.
History:
The Auto CAD was derived from the program called Interact CAD, the software came into being during the 1982. It was basically made to simplify the CAD’s complicated system in the 1970’s.
