Description
UNITY is a project from Gabriel Ralls that literally unites people from all around the world for the purpose of art and signifies that despite race, religion, colour or creed; we all originate from the same roots.
The film was shot entirely on an iPhone 3GS; upscaled and colour-graded in 1080p, and features motion graphics from Dennis Villanueva. The works of Asa Chang, Kenji Kawai and Judith Haustein inspired the music with additional instrumentation from Daniel Kim Birch and violin from Jay Bannmuller. It focuses around the line, "The flower and the stem both originate from the same roots" in 16 different (non-English) languages across 22 voices from all corners of the globe.
