Tukegee Heirs Kickstarter Animatic

Marcus Williams approached the team at Powerhouse to animate a Kickstarter teaser cinematic for his new series with Greg Burnham, Tuskegee Heirs. The new comic series follows a group of young aviators who become earth’s last line of defense, and we lent our hand animating one of the young prodigies storming into battle.

For this project, Marcus Williams provided us with his original storyboards which we then adapted in Flash. We put a lot of special details into this animatic to make it particularly impressive. We combined traditional animation elements, shading on the figures, and a few post-production effects to beef up this animatic. For a final touch, we layered in a killer music track by Britt Taynham.
