Trinny Trin - Am I?

What did I do to deserve this life of pain?
All I want is to be loved and sheltered from the rain;
Is that too much to ask from me?
I hate my nightmares from the past,
I just want to be free.

I shall find love somewhere out there -
Someone to hold me and truly care.
I know I have a lifetime to find him;
But my will to live is beginning to wear thin.
Am I being selfish to want so much?
To want understanding, love and a caring touch?
