Trey Knowles: PROSECUTOR - Truth & Knowledge
This episode examines how colonization, economic exploitation, political pressure, cultural corruption, and the idolization of money can transform communities and influence human behavior. Trey argues that oppression creates a desperate struggle for survival, while coercive systems pressure people to compromise their values and participate in the very wrongdoing that keeps them spiritually and economically enslaved.
Trey explains that there are two kinds of prosecutors: one who accuses and condemns through the spirit of Satan, and one who seeks truth and justice under the authority of God. A prosecutor for the Assembly of God is also a shepherd—someone willing to defend the flock, expose deception, and bring charges against powerful individuals and institutions that cause God’s people to stumble.
Drawing from 1 Timothy 6:5–7, the episode challenges the false belief that godliness is a path to financial riches. Scripture teaches that “godliness with contentment is great gain,” because we brought nothing into this world and can take nothing out of it. When money becomes an idol, people may be manipulated into selling their dignity, abandoning righteousness, and doing anything for personal gain.
“Prosecutor” also speaks directly to the suffering experienced by Black, Latin, Spanish, Indigenous, and island communities affected by colonization and exploitation. Rather than blaming the oppressed for every condition within their communities, Trey confronts the systems and historical powers that have stolen resources, created instability, and pressured people to adopt values that do not come from God.
This message is both an indictment and a warning—but it is also a call to restoration. Trey Knowles stands as a prosecutor for the flock, exposing injustice while urging God’s people to reject violence, greed, corruption, and the ways of their oppressors. True liberation begins when people recognize deception, turn away from sin, love the righteousness of God, and refuse to imitate the evil committed against them.
The charge is against oppression, exploitation, coercion, and every power that causes nations and communities to stumble. The verdict belongs to God.
