I am trapped
and sinking
thinking
nothing is there
for me
nothing is clear
My heart is not broken
Not anymore.
Just impatient... bored
waiting to be past
the believing that
you were the last
I can see the light
it's not blinding
reminding
Things won't always feel this way
I won't always have to keep
the memories at bay
I am exactly what you see
nothing more, nothing less
but I confess
I am not the man I was before.
No.
I am so much more.
