Tourists throng Kashmir Valley

Srinagar, May 20 (ANI): With the tourist season on peak in the Kashmir Valley, visitors are seen enjoying the picturesque view. Every year, lakhs of tourist throng the Valley to enjoy the pleasant weather. The charming climate has always attracted tourists at large scale as the temperature is high in other parts of the country. The tourism industry in Kashmir, whose stunning Himalayan mountain and lake scenery once made it a magnet for visitors, was hit hard by two decades of armed insurgency. But attempts are being made to revive the industry, which used to be the mainstay of the state's economy.
