A strong core is essential for many of the Tough Mudder obstacles (and to perform well in most other sports as well!) Often, people fall into the trap of training their core with a single motion: a crunch.
This is short-sighted because your core is used to move your body in multiple directions therefore it needs to be trained in multiple directions as well. Check out this exercise that does just that - 3 directions for a well-rounded ab workout.
