Description

Its official, engineering positions are the second hardest job vacancy to fill in the entire world, according to The Manpower Group Talent Shortage Survey for 2012, which took in the views of 38,000 employers in 40 countries.
And the situation is not set to get any better for engineering recruiters as a report from Deloitte suggests the number of US engineering graduates has grown on average by only 0.1% a year in recent years, while the demand for engineering graduates is expected to grow by 7.3% per year on average going forwards.
While this may be bad news for engineering hiring managers, this is great news for those wanting to start, develop or switch to a career in the sector. This is because engineers are in demand, and expected to be so for the foreseeable future.
So, if you are ambitious and want to move into a sector that has excellent short and long term growth and employment prospects, then engineering is the perfect career choice.
