Description

The scenic space of beauty was
Spread in front of my eyes
Like artist's colorful painting
Pleasant fragrance emanating.

Main source of the smell was
From roses in full bloom
Hovering set of honey bees
Buzzing from flower to flower.

Sun disappeared at the horizon
Darkness arrived in a hurry
As I stretched our my hands
To touch some tender flowers.

I probed with my fingers
With eyes closed to improve
My other senses in particular
The sense of touch and feel.

I felt the touch of leaves
Probing further I got
Pricked by a thorn on the stem
A feeling of pain so sweet.

I felt good that I was close
There's no gain without pain
With gentle touch I moved
The fingers further up.

I touched a bud of sepals
Further up a flower of petals
Tender were those petals
Fragrance delighted my soul.

Flowers open the heart
To the source of immense joy
Thorns are a step toward
Reaping a bountiful reward.
