Leaf came to rescue
To protect privacy
Of the first couple
Adam and Eve.

A leafy tree lets
The home hide with pride
Behind thick branches
With shade on the side.

Tender new leaf
Or the one lush green
Dangling yellow one
That's ready to fall
Or a fallen leaf
Light and dry
Blowing away
With the wind
Each one shows
Its own hidden charm.

Leaf of the palm
In variety of forms
Turned into roofs
Of early abodes
Giving us shelter
To lead healthy lives.

Leaves of trees
Provided the means
To record art
Create letters
Write our history
And out heritage.

Trees are many
Leaves're many more
Adding beauty
To the scene eyes see
Leaves let life
Retain its value
Leaves let our
Tradition remain.

Amazing is the leaf
Amazing its role
We owe a lot to the leaf
It's my strong belief.
