As I trudge through my boring day
From class to hated class
You’re in the hall, a simple “Hey”
The gold amidst dull brass

A friendly light shines through haze
Endearing from the start
You’re always there through out my days
The stormy clouds depart

I for a kinder friend can’t want
The light amidst the pressing dark
Forget the fears and things that haunt
Banished by friendships’ loving spark

You’ve no idea how much I care
To have a friend like you
A friend I cannot hope to spare
You’ll always see me through
