Why are all conflicts internal?
Always a hopeless battle of emotions
that I cannot hope to win.
I long for a chance at the other.

A darker, animalistic, fight
inspired of primal instinct
Not just in my head
but a pathway bridging insanity

I cannot win the battle in my mind
I might have a chance in body
While the arcane art of mental warfare
conflicts with physical carnage

Forget the mind, black and unwanted as it is
I can win the physical fight
You're so brave behind your words
Put them to use, or are they just words

Wait for the snap, the climax of the long dormant volcano
The storm of pain is released, spilling its writhing contents
of indestructibility and dominance
You foolish broken soul

Provoke the sleeping cobra
Entice the hungry wolf
I will not be underestimated
Not this time

What of the consequences?
Not significant next to the sheer
power buried within the innocent
Untainted as of yet, for now

Are you haunted by the sudden
implications thrust upon you
Am I not the easy target you suspected?
You're not even close

When the conflict changes
from the painful internal
to the adrenaline external
People get hurt
