Omnipresent in my thoughts
Stealing my breath with every look
How can anyone be so beautiful,
both inside and out?
She is and more.

The urge to protect,
to defend,
grows unchecked.
Nothing means more,
than her happiness

Her smile makes the stars jealous.
Their beauty just can’t compare.
When she smiles at me,
I feel like the richest man alive.

When she’s near,
time slows down.
The brightness of her eyes,
puts the sun to shame.
Getting lost in their depths is too easy.

The birds all mourn,
for their voice does not compare,
to her peals of joyous laughter,
lightening the air.
