Theresa Ann Moore - Daisy

Everyone thought that plain Daisy was insane
She would sing and dance in the pouring rain
In summer, she touched the grass with her soles
She loved to feel green blades between her toes

In the morning, before the sun had risen inches
Daisy was mimicking the small-chirping finches
She was a spirited child who always had a smile
Maybe it was she, who knew what was worthwhile
