Theresa Ann Moore - Appalling
2 Views • Nov 07, 2014
Description
vile serpents slither
grasping the opportunity to seize
dangling feet
of unsuspecting poets
Approaching is a darkening day
filled with the venom of degrading tongues
Ripples intensify in a mirror reflection
casting a suffocating mood that envelops
Enraged feelings retaliate
as tranquility evaporates
Horrid hostility spews forth hatred
into the cesspool of indignity
The stench multiplies
as humiliation swells
Fighting continues until obscenities
congealed in the atmosphere
Blocking out all opportunities
for redemption or survival
The frigid feelings of disgust
freeze the rays of sun
No longer are creative thoughts
able to survive
Intolerance and loathing
have triumphed…
Silent devastation has won
