"The Winner" abstract

"The Winner" is a universal story of friendship, passion and life's true values.

Oliver (played by Pawel Szajda, known for "Under the Tuscan Sun" and HBO's "Generation Kill") is a young and talented pianist whose life and promising career suddenly collapse. He finds an unexpected help in a retired math teacher, now a compulsive horse race gambler (played by Polish great actor Janusz Gajos, known for his performances in films by Andrzej Wajda and Krzysztof Kieslowski). Cast also includes Wojciech Pszoniak and beautiful actress, Marta Zmuda-Trzebiatowska.

"The Winner" was filmed in Chicago, German town Baden-Baden and Polish city of Wroclaw. Film's unique soundtrack includes music of Chopin, three Elvis Presley's songs and tango.
