The Quiet Place

God never meant for us to be continually rushing around. Yes the world can seem a hopeless and fallen mess at times. However, it still has the beauty that He put into it on its creation. When He led David beside the still waters He did not do it to let him sit there worrying about what was to be. It was an invitation to rest and be restored and enjoy the creator and His creation.
This is about relaxing in God’s presence and taking in the beauty of His creation and feeling the gentleness and strength of His love for us. It is the acceptance of that gentleness that makes us strong. Jesus Himself said “Come to Me, all you who labour and are overburdened and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls] (Matt 11.27 AMP)
