The Normal Force

Normal force is a force that arises on a surface, as a result of interactions between molecules, which wants to return the molecules to their original position, as a result of pressure from the load on them. In simpler terms, normal force is the force that prevents a load from breaking through a surface. The direction of the normal force is perpendicular upward to the contact surface, or in the normal direction.
