Description
There were three in the beginning (Elohim), and these three are one. ("And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:" John 17:22)
Lets look at the one known as the Word, the Life, and the Son.
It's a follow up to my video about the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlsubZJoJ4I
So that no one freaks out about the use of "Elohim" in this video, I'll explain myself: Elohim is the generic hebrew word from the original text that was translated to the greek "theos" and later the english "god." "Elohim" is the hebrew PLURAL noun, unlike the Greek and English singular nouns theos and god, but being believers in the divine "trinity" we should have no problem with a plural noun being used in place of a singular noun in the right instances. Such as in Genesis chapter 1 verse 26: "And (Elohim) said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:..."
Turning a plural noun into a singular makes it hard to distinguish between the three persons of the trinity and allows someone pretending to be even one assume the identities of all three; that makes the plurality of "elohim" very important to preserve. We must not allow this distinction to get lost in the greek and english translations, and leave us vulnerable to dangerous deceptions.
