Long after World War IV, the planet landscapes have only begun to regenerate after the devastating effects of nuclear destruction. Cities turned to dust, entire populations extermined, due to the scarce resources only a few have been left to live in small colonies, away from the desolated landscapes.
The architecture now grows attached onto cliffs, close to the only reliable source, the river. The vertical system provides protection under interplanetary menace. The human being has adapted and has returned to a primal state.These civilizations have been in exhile, coexisting with nuclear radiation, attempting to reconstruct a way of living, slowly emerging from the ashes of humanity.
As landscapes are regenerated after devastation, and due to a lack of human population, territories redevelop into wilderness, leaving traces of history on the ground. The colony silently sits within, benefitting from the close proximity to the resources the land has to offer.Villages now are suspended onto platforms hanging onto cliffs. Platforms connect the pods creating a network that sprawls through the riverside.Living pods are rudimentary, they provide shelter from accused shifts in weather, however including building techniches from centuries since, basic technology is proportional to the devastation of and isolation of humanity.The Lost Civilization is an interactive interface that enables the user to engage in a fictional speculative narrative for an alternative future for human existence. It is a gaming platform that serves as visual simulation for the free exploration through a proposed civilization, in collision with an environment, suggesting and revealing everyday patterns of primitive futures.
