### The Little Star That Could
Once upon a time, in a twinkling galaxy far, far away, there was a little star named Sparkle. Sparkle was the smallest star in the whole sky, and because she was so tiny, she often felt like she didn’t shine as brightly as the bigger stars.
Every night, Sparkle would look up at her friends—Sirius, Vega, and Betelgeuse—twinkling confidently in their grand and magnificent ways. Sparkle wanted to shine as brightly as they did but felt overshadowed.
One evening, as the stars were preparing for their nightly twinkle, the moon, who was quite wise and kind, noticed Sparkle's sadness. She floated over and asked, “Why the long face, little star?”
“I just wish I could shine as brightly as the others,” Sparkle sighed. “I feel so small and dim.”
The moon smiled gently. “Oh, Sparkle, every star has a special light, and it’s not the size that matters, but how you shine from within. Perhaps you’re meant for something special.”
As the moon floated away, Sparkle thought hard about her words. That night, a great comet was traveling through the sky, and it was about to crash into a distant galaxy! The stars shone brightly to guide the comet, but the comet was still on a dangerous path.
Sparkle felt a tiny spark of courage inside her. Even though she was small, she decided she had to do something. She took a deep breath and shone as brightly as she could, focusing all her little light on the comet.
Her tiny, but determined light pierced through the dark. The comet noticed Sparkle’s glow and adjusted its course, safely steering away from the galaxy. The distant galaxy was saved!
When the comet disappeared into the horizon, the stars cheered and sparkled even more brightly. The moon returned and said, “See, Sparkle? Your light was exactly what was needed. Sometimes, it’s not about being the biggest or the brightest; it’s about shining with all your heart.”
From that night on, Sparkle knew that even the smallest light can make a big difference. And though she was still the smallest star in the sky, she shone with a newfound confidence and joy.
Every night, as she twinkled in her own special way, Sparkle reminded all the other stars that everyone has a unique light that’s important, no matter how big or small.
And so, in the great expanse of the universe, the little star named Sparkle became a shining example of the truth that every light, no matter how small, has its own special place in the sky.
