A story of teenagers being forced to do cruely do battle with other teenagers, this movie adaptation is the first installment in the Suzanne Collins trilogy. It features Katniss Everdeen, who volunteers to replace her younger sister in an annual reality TV fight called the the Hunger Games, where a runoff amongst teenagers from the twelve districts of Panem eventually leads to a fight to the death.
