THE GUEST

David Collins, a mysterious ex-soldier, shows up at the Peterson family's house claiming to be Caleb's best buddy, who died in the Afghanistan war. At first, he's polite and helpful, but soon David starts acting violently and erratically—he beats up bullies, takes out guys who sold him guns, and blackmails officials. It turns out he's actually a former military test subject from a secret program designed to create killers; things went sideways, and now he has to eliminate anyone who knows who he is. After he wipes out the Peterson family and others, David faces off against the surviving kids, Anna and Luke, in a final showdown where Luke ends up killing him with his own butterfly knife. But the movie wraps up on a mysterious note, showing David alive in the background, pretending to be a firefighter.
