The Darque - Roads ( cover version ) Portishead

The Darque are Hayley and Gaz Wildsmith aka Dead Wasps collaborating with various exciting and talented musicians and branching out into other genres of music they love.

Hayley first started covering Portishead's "Roads" as part of a jazz duo with gifted pianist Alex Bradbury. When Gaz heard their version he encouraged them both to record it.
They shot the music video shortly after at Maer woods in Staffordshire.
The landscape of these woods had been an inspiration to Gaz and Hayley for the last 12 months and they were dying to film the terrain when the right project came along. So when "Roads" came to light it seemed very fitting to shoot the dreamlike performance video here. The time of year was perfect -- the last stages of Autumn gave everywhere gold and red hues and made it look even more magical.
