The Afterburn Effect Explained
Description
The afterburn effect for fat loss, does it really exist? Recently there is loads of advice that says afterburn training helps you "melt fat away" because it supposedly raises your metabolism by a ton and is a "shortcut" to weight loss.
In reality, the afterburn effect (or "EPOC") is much smaller and people promising that you are burning calories from it by the truckload if you do specific "afterburn exercises" or workouts got the idea from research that is half a century out of date.
